Alice M. Seals
Alice M. Seals, 89, died Jan. 26, 2012, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.
She was born Aug. 16, 1922, at Loco, Okla., the daughter of Merle Thomas and Iva Lee (Boren) Howerton.
A resident of Scott City since 1960, moving from Liberal, she was a homemaker.
On April 24, 1943, she married Elmer Doyle Seals at Wichita Falls, Tex. He died May 6, 1975, at Scott City.
Survivors include: one daughter, Judy Stegall, Scott City; three granddaughters, Alicia Buehler, and husband, Nick, Scott City, Kandi Trujillo, Grand Island, Nebr., and Marni Phillips and husband, Scott, Topeka; two sisters, Wanda Fosdick and husband, Sam, and Typee Partney, all of Fowler, Colo.; two brothers, Bob Howerton, Eads, Colo., and Tom Howerton and wife, Connie, Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight great-grandchildren, Brendan Eggleston, Kathryn Buehler, Jaclyn Buehler and Alysan Buehler, all of Scott City, Treyston Trujillo and Traxen Trujillo, both of Grand Island, Nebr., Corrbin Phillips and Cannon Phillips, both of Topeka; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service was held Jan. 30 at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City, with Garee Geist officiating. Burial was in the Scott County Cemetery.
