Beverly Ann Eckels

Beverly Ann Eckels, 73, died June 23, 2010, at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born March 10, 1937, at Shallow Water, the daughter of Harrison Wayne and Violet Ma- 
rie (Bailey) Bulkley.
A lifetime resident of Shallow Water, she was a homemaker, housekeeper and part-time baker.
She was a member of the Gospel Fellowship Church, Shallow Water, where she was Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher, custodian and active in many others activities. She was also a member of EHU and an Awana leader, both of Scott City.
On July 4, 1954, she married Dale Eugene Eckels at Scott City. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Les, and wife, Nancy, and  Kenton, and wife, Debra Kaye, all of Scott City; two daughters, Kim Baier, and husband,  Jeff, Ulysses, and Jynette Buxton and husband, Jerry, Scott City; three sisters, Bonnie Sauer and Louise Williams, both of Scott City, and Mary Landgraff,  Garden City; one brother, Harold Bulkley, Wachaxie, Tex.; seven granddaughters and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Robert and Ronnie Bulkley.
A celebration of life was held June 29 at the First United Methodist Church, Scott City, with Don Williams and Larry Taylor presiding. Burial was in the Scott County Cemetery.
