Clair W. Sutton

Clair W. Sutton, 87, Lyons, died Jan. 23, 2012, at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. 

He was born Dec. 28, 1924, at Scott City, the son of Leslie and Maude (Epler) Sutton. 

A resident of Lyons since 1957, he was a delivery man for Meadow Gold Dairy and a custodian for USD 405, both of Lyons. 

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lyons. 

On July 24, 1943, he married Maxine “Bonnie” Wright at Colby. She died Oct. 28, 2006. 

Survivors include: two sons, Randy, Lyons, and Stan, Lancaster, Tex.; one brother, D.J., St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Allie Voelker, Ft. Dodge, and Alice Sutton, Garden City; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by one infant son, Ricky; three brothers, Lonzo, George and Earl; and one sister, Alta Mae Brown. 

Funeral service will be Fri., Jan. 27, 10:00 a.m., at the Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Rev. Dr. Quentin Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery. 

Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home, Box 89, Lyons, Ks. 67554.
