Joe Brehm

Joe Brehm, 76, died Aug. 7, 2010, at St. Francis Via Cristi, Wichita.
He was born April 27, 1934, at McCook, Nebr., the son of Joseph Lloyd and Louise Lucille Brehm.
On June 17, 1956, he married Paula Jeanette “Jan” McQuigg at Boulder, Colo. She survives.
He lived at Longmont, Colo., for 33 years.
He worked in construction for a few years and then went to work for Mountain Bell Telephone where he worked his way up to supervisor and retired after 30 years. He then employed laying pipe at the Denver International Airport and other places.
He was a member of the National Little Britches Rodeo Association for 30-plus years and ran timed event cattle for Little Britches rodeos, Old Timers rodeos and the PRCA. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 392, in addition to numerous other community organizations.
He moved to Bazine in March of 1994 where they bought a farm and ranch and continued their cattle operation. He did custom baling and drove a school bus for the USD No. 106.
Survivors include: two daughters, Janelle Erven, and husband, Eric, Scott City, and Jodene Johnson and husband, Justin, Casper, Wyo.; mother, Louise Teegarden, Boulder, Colo.; two half-brothers, Cary and Butch Teegarden, both of Longmont, Colo.; brother-in-law, John McQuigg, Sedalia, Colo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, a niece and a great-nephew. 
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held Fri., Aug. 13, 1:00 p.m., at Hygiene United Methodist Church, 7542 Hygiene Rd., Hygiene, Colo.
A second “Celebration of Life” service will be held Mon., Aug. 16, 11:00 a.m., at the Bazine United Methodist Church.
