Juanice Thomason

Juanice Thomason died June 27, 2010, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Altus, Okla.
She was born Oct. 2, 1928, at Snyder, Okla., the daughter of Perry Johnson and Ruby Ella (Plew) Willis.
She graduated from Snyder High School in 1946 and attended the University of Oklahoma where she was crowned University Beauty Queen.
On Oct. 22, 1949, she married Willis R. Thomason, Sr., at Gould, Okla. He died Nov. 29, 2003.
She had a long work history that included the Oklahoma State Capitol, Southwestern Bell, a moving business and a retail office manager. She owned her own real estate brokerage from 1970-95 when she retired.
Survivors include: three sons, Bradley Johnson Smith, Altus, Dana Thomason, and wife, Judy, Royse City, Tex., and Kenney Thomason, Altus; one sister, LoRita Breeze, and husband, Odell, Lawton; three grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is also survived by three special friends, Barney, Sweetie Pie and Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gwendolyn.
Funeral service was held June 29 at Calvary Community Church, Snyder, with Dr. Jeff Moore and Bill Osborne officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder.
