Kathryn L. Ford

Kathryn L. Ford, 77, died July 15, 2010, at Galichia Heart Hospital, Wichita.
She was born Feb. 27, 1933, at Scott City, the daughter of Elmer Edwin and Ida Blanche (Peterson) Gittinger.
A resident of Leoti since May of 1953, moving from Sharon Springs, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Parks Presbyterian Church, Parks Presbyterian Women, Wichita County Historical Society, Community Thrift Shoppe board, Wichita County Amusement Association, Patchwork Quilt Guild and Wichita County Genealogical Society, all of Leoti.
 On May 27, 1951, she married Matthew T. Ford at Sharon Springs. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Matthew, Juniata, Nebr., and Michael,  Dallas, Tex.; four daughters, Darlene  Harkness, Marlene Ribbing and Kathleen Long, all of Leoti, and Kristine Bollinger, Scott City; three brothers, Robert Gittinger, Kismet, John Gittinger, Odessa, Mo., and Ralph Gittinger, Oak Grove, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Richard Ford.
Funeral service was held July 20 at the Parks Presbyterian Church, Leoti, with Rev. Paul McNall officiating. Burial was in the Sharon Springs Cemetery, Sharon Springs.
