Marian (Eileen) Minor

Marian (Eileen) Minor, 90, died  Jan. 21, 2010, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City.

She was born March 2, 1919, at Garden City, the daughter of Homer and Frances Nora (Reeves) Gamble.

She was a longtime resident of San Diego, Calif., before moving to Scott City in 2007.

She was an active member of PEO, Forest Home, MOAA Auxiliary, First Presbyterian Church, San Diego, and was active in Flagship Mariners.

In 1942 she married Capt. Gerald E. Minor, USN. He died in 1993 at San Diego.  

Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Hermes, and husband, Gerald,  Scott City; one son, Gerald (Gary) and wife, Gerri, Crystal River, Fla.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held Jan. 29 at the El Camino Memorial Park and Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, Calif., 92121.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City.
