Michael Ries

Michael William Ries, 15, Mankato, Minn., died Aug. 22, 2010, unexpectedly of natural causes.
He was born May 21, 1995, the son of Barry and Leah Ries.
He was a student at Mankato West High School and
was active in football, basketball, baseball and loved playing the saxophone in concert band and jazz band. He was a member of the Mankato children’s chorus and the Mankato Church of Christ.
Survivors include: his parents, Mankato; one sister, Carissa; grandparents, Clyde and Glenda Schinnerer, Scott City; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A celebration of life service was held Aug. 27 at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Burial was in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato.
