Walton Murphy

Walton Alex Murphy, 7-1/2 months, died Dec. 24, 2009, at the Scott County Hospital.

He was born May 1, 2009, at Scott City, the son of Randy and Julia (Dornon) Murphy.

He was a

member of the Immanuel Southern Baptist Church, Scott City.

Survivors include: his parents, Scott City; one sister, Annabell Murphy,   Scott City; grandparents, Marlin and Carolyn Murphy, Scott City, and Frank and Sheila Dornon, Russell; aunts and uncles, Noah and Melissa Routon, and Ward Murphy, all of Garden City, and William Dornon and Eric Dornon, both of Russell; 12 great-aunts, 11 great-uncles, one great-grandfather, one great-grandmother and two cousins. 

He was preceded in death by three great-grandmothers and four great-grandfathers.  

Funeral service was held Dec. 30 at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with  Rev. Robert Nuckolls officiating. Burial was in the Scott County Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Walton Murphy Memorial Fund in care of  Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington, Scott City, Ks. 67871.
