Willard H. Wells
Willard H. Wells, 83, died Jan. 28, 2010, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.
He was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Scott County, the son of Henry and Alice Flaiz Wells.
A longtime resident of Scott City, since 1963 he was the owner and operator of a local iron and salvage yard.
He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: two sons, George, San Diego, Calif., and Bill, Claremont, Calif.; two brothers, Malvin, Scott City, and Ed, Leoti; three sisters, Wilma Baker, Scott City, Charlotte Holmes, San Diego, Calif., and Aleta Barrows, Ness City, four grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Maggie Conine; and one brother, Howard Wells.
Memorial graveside service will be held Tue., Feb. 2, 1:30 p.m., at the Scott County Cemetery with Rev. Robert Nuckolls officiating.
