Wilma E. Janssen

Wilma E. Janssen, 89, died Aug. 17, 2010, at her home in Scott County.
She was born April 8, 1921, at Lorraine, the daughter of August and Rose (Janzen) Wilkens.
A homemaker, she had been a resident of Scott County since 1948, moving from Lorraine.
She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was married to Homer Janssen for 56-1/2 years before he died on Jan. 7, 1996.
Survivors include: two sons, Gary, and wife, Laylene, Scott City, and Brent, Austin, Tex.; one daughter, Sharon Janssen, Scott City; one brother, Harlan, and wife, Norma, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Wilkens.
A private family funeral service will be held Sat., Aug. 21, at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
