Tirra Elder and Jordan Carter exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony on Nov. 28, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church, Garden City. Pastor Brenda Fluellen performed the ceremony.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and given away by her parents, Vaughn and Tina Elder, Leoti. She is the granddaughter of Marjorie Elder, Leoti.
The groom is the son of Daniel and Susan Carter, Scott City. He is the grandson of Betty Schmidt, Scott City.
Matron of honor was Tissha Brumm, sister of the bride, Menlo Park, Calif. Bridesmaids were Kelli Eisenhour, Scott City, Audrey Diehl, Denver, Colo., Kalen Daugherty, Atlanta, Ga., Ashley Huxman, Indianapolis, Ind., Joanie Kocab, Lawrence, and Erica Dierks, Manhattan, all friends of the bride.
Best man was David Dunn, Oklahoma City, Okla., friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Lance Carter, Garden City, and Luke Carter, Goddard, brothers of the groom; Nolan Numrich, Lawrence, Grant Huck, Hays, Randy Elber, Boston, Mass., and Alan Childress, McPherson, all friends of the groom.
Flower girl was Jayci Brumm, niece of the bride, Menlo Park, Calif. Ring bearers were Jayden Brumm, nephew of the bride, Menlo Park, Calif., and Beckett Carter, nephew of the groom, Goddard.
Candlelighters were Lexie and Chloe Pfeifer, cousins of the bride, Holcomb.

A reception and dance were held at the Knights of Columbus, Garden City.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Ft. Hays State University and is currently employed by Western Transport, Garden City.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of McPherson College and is employed by Tri-State Distributing, Leoti.
After a week-long cruise down the Mexican Riviera aboard the Carnival cruise ship, Splendor, the couple resides in Garden City.
