Phyllis Ilene Russell, 81, Satanta, died June 11, 2010, at the Satanta District Hospital.
She was born Dec. 30, 1928, at Arnold, the daughter of Ralph Masters and Clara Jane (Hayes) Nickel.
She worked for Vo Tech Book Store, Liberal. She had been a Satanta resident since 2001.
Survivors include: four sons, Monte, Sparks, Nev., Lonte, Sacramento, Calif., Alan, San Bernardino, Calif., and Steven, Clarksville, Tenn.; four daughters, Keithetta Dillon, Satanta, Phyllis Bradley, Liberal, LuAnn Metcalf, Ava, Mo., and Ellen Blankenship, Big Springs, Tex.; one sister, Thelma Nickel, Atwood; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Russell, in June 1980; her parents; one son, Keith Warren Russell; three brothers, Harold, Dick and Dewayne Nickel; six sisters, Marie Worrel, Lois Pyle, Irene Plummer, Bessie Hammons, Janice Blalack and Cecile Jane Nickel; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service was held June 18 at the Southern Baptist Church, Satanta. Burial was in the Liberal Cemetery.
