Robert Wiederstein, 81, Hesston, died July 5, 2010, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston.
He was born Nov. 17, 1928, at Newton, the son of Harry and Helen (Unruh) Wiederstein.
He was a farmer, living in Scott City for many years. He moved to Hesston 11 years ago.
He was a past member of the Gospel Fellowship Church, Shallow Water, and Garden Community Church, rural Hesston.
On May 3, 1950, he married Marguerite M. Tharp at Scott City. She survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Evelyn Christner, and husband, Merle, Cumberland, Md., Debra Fry and husband, Mike, and Phyllis Wilson and husband, Evan, all of Wichita; one brother, Merle, and wife, Leona, Garden City; one sister, Maxine Koehn, Omaha, Nebr.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Howard, and two grandchildren, Kaylynn Wilson and Daniel Fry.
Graveside service will be held Fri., July 9, 10:00 a.m., at the Garden Community Church Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Garden Community Church, rural Hesston, with Pastors Gary Janzen and Wendy Miller officiating.
