Couple plans spring wedding

Barbara Breeden, Belmont, Calif., announces the engagement of her daughter, Anne Breeden, to Tanner Ehmke. Anne, of Chicago, is also the daughter of the late David Breeden.

A graduate from DePaul University in Chicago and the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., she is a performing classical pianist and teacher in Chicago. Anne is also the founder and director of a music nonprofit organization.

Ehmke, the son of Vance and Louise Ehmke, Dighton, is a graduate of Dighton High School and Kansas State University, and is a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Scott City. He is currently a freelance journalist in Chicago and farms with his family in Lane and Scott counties. He is also a graduate student in the KSU Master of Agribusiness program.

A spring wedding in Chicago is planned.
