Melanie Nevills

Melanie A. Nevills, 55, Jackson, N.H., died on March 4, 2024, to be with her Lord and Savior.

She was born on May 19, 1968, in Stafford. She attended school in Hesston and graduated from Hesston High School in 1986. She went on to earn her bachelors degree in finance and real estate from Wichita State University, graduating with high honors.

She married Kyle Nevills on August 17, 1990. They were married for 33 years. He survives.

From this marriage they had two sons, Parker and Hayden.

Melanie was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was active in her congregations. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt.

Other survivors include her sons, Parker Nevills, Dallas, Tex. and Hayden Nevills, Overland Park; mother, Cheryl Clayton, North Newton; sister, Michelle Ostlund and husband, Jeff, Mt. Hope; brother, Matthew Clayton, North Newton; her beloved silky terrier, Izzy; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Clayton.

There will be two memorial services to celebrate her life. The first service will be held at the Church of Christ in Newton on Fri., March 15, 2:00 p.m. The second service will be held at the Church of Christ, Garden City, on Sat., March 16, 2:00 p.m.
