If the Scott City boys were to get past Towanda-Circle in the Class 4A sub-state championship game it felt like the Beavers had to get off to a quick start and create some doubt in the minds of the Thunderbirds.
With the Dighton High School boys making their first state tournament appearance since 2016, head coach Tyler Lingg knew how important it would be for his team to get off to a good start.
For the first 10 minutes, Scott City’s Class 4A sub-state opener at Buhler (11-10) was a toss-up.
