A script that’s all too familiar

As the Republican majority in the Kansas Legislature continues waging a war on women’s reproductive rights, public health officials, school teachers, the LGBTQ community and the poor, they do so with the support of an intellectually challenged voter base in search of someone, or something, to blame for whatever is going wrong in their lives.
Empathy is not one of the 3 ‘Rs’

When third and fourth grade students at a Leavenworth school had the audacity to create artwork with rainbow flags, and one youngster even wrote that whether an individual was gay, lesbian or transgender, “everyone is welcome,” well, that was too much for one Kansas lawmaker.
