MANHATTAN - A Kansas State University weed specialist says farmers should be on the lookout for early-emergence of a troublesome weed that competes with farm crops for nutrients, water and light.
The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) has mailed a “Hemp Production and Disposition Inquiry” to Kansas producers.
Registration is now available for a four-part workshop series aimed at helping Midwest farm families develop succession plans for passing on or leaving the business.
At same time, the USDA has given a green light for HB4 development
