After accepting the resignation of City Treasurer Tammy Rice, to take effect Oct. 15, the Scott City Council has decided it will take steps to appoint future treasurers rather than having it an elected position.
In what has become a familiar ritual for the Scott City Council, another extension has been granted to the owner of a lot in the Industrial Park to build a fence that will conceal vehicles being stored on the property.
