It didn’t take the Scott County Hospital board long to complete its search for a new chief executive officer following Mark Burnett’s decision to retire.
A new housing development to be called the Venice Park Addition is on the drawing board and that’s where it apparently will remain for awhile longer, pending a decision by the Scott City Council to pay for utility extensions.

While groundwater levels are still trending downward within Groundwater Management District No. 1, the rate of decline is slowing and the reduction in irrigation has been significant in parts of the five-county area.
With the Scott County Hospital on track for a recordshattering fiscal year, it appears safe to say that the impact of the pandemic is well in the rear view mirror.
