With the correct spelling of “artificial,” Kinzie Fisher earned the title of Scott County spelling bee champion during Tuesday’s competition held at Scott Community High School.
Scott County’s designation as a Rural Opportunity Zone has saved participants nearly $214,000 on their student loans over the past 15 years.
The Scott County spelling bee will be held on Tues., Feb. 11, 10:00 a.m., at the Scott Community High School auditorium.
Whether it’s a day of fishing, swimming at the beach or a weekend in one of the cabins, Lake Scott State Park continued to be a popular destination with about 244,000 visitors during the past year.
