Keith Burgess
Keith Burgess, 90, died at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City, on August 24, 2021.
He was born on Oct. 5, 1930, in Garden City, the son of Wade Hampton and Letha Adalene (Phillips) Burgess.
A lifetime resident of Scott City, he was a certified flight instructor and worked as a farmer and aerial applicator.
On Dec. 3, 1950, Keith married Betty Jean Graham in Scott City. She survives.
Keith was a member of the United Methodist Church, Scott City, and had served on the Scott Co-op board, the Scott City Council and the Scott City Airport board.
Other survivors include his daughter, Susan Rose and husband, Terry, Scott City; one grandson, Neil Rose and wife, Jenny, Scott City; two granddaughters, Darci Cain and husband, Brent, Ellis, and Breva Spencer and husband, Josh, Manhattan; three great-granddaughters, Jacy Rose and Tara Rose, Scott City, and Khloe Spencer, Manhattan; and two great-grandsons, Tegan Cain, Ellis, and Ryker Spencer, Manhattan.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Max Burgess and John Burgess; and two sisters, Mona Jeffries and Sharon Fuller.
Funeral service will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City on Sat., August 28, 10:30 a.m., with Pastors Larry Danforth and Dennis Carter officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City.
