Rosamary ‘Jo’ Joyce Gregor
Rosamary “Jo” Joyce Gregor, 74, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly on April 18, 2022. She was surrounded by family at Saint Luke’s Heart Center in Kansas City, Mo.
S h e was born on October 31, 1947, in Syracuse, the daughter of Thom as Whalen and Evelyn “E.I.” Whalen.

She spent all of her school years at Leoti and graduated from Leoti with a high school diploma with the class of 1965. She attended college before marrying J.J. Gregor and moving to Pendennis.
There she spent her time working for the First State Bank of Healy as a bank clerk and retired in 2015 as the assistant cashier after working there for over 30 years.
She also served on the board for the Lane County Library and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her two sons, Jason James Gregor, Lees Summit, Mo., and Josh Whalen Gregor and his wife, Lauren, Shawnee; one sister, Penny Smith and husband, Greg, San Antonio, Tex.; brothers, Rex Whalen and wife, Patti, and Major Whalen and wife, Cheryl, all of Leoti; and grandchildren, Logan and Reagan Gregor.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her garden and watching butterflies and birds. She always loved cheering on her Kansas Jayhawks and was ecstatic seeing them win another NCAA national championship. Her loving smile will be missed.
A memorial service was held April 28 at the First Baptist Church in Scott City with Rev Kyle Evans officiating. Burial at a later date will be in Whiterock Cemetery, Pendennis.
