Steve W. Gossman

Steve W. Gossman, 72, died, Aug. 16, 2022, at his home in Scott City.

He was born on May 4, 1950, in Garden City, the son of Charles and Irene (Withorn) Gossman.

A resident of Scott County since 1984, moving from the family farm in Finney County, he was a retired truck driver and farmer.

He was of the Christian faith and was a Boy Scout leader.

On October 10, 1977, he married Veta Oyler in Eads, Colo. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons: Clint Gossman and wife, Anne, Scott City, Justin Gossman and wife, Tasha, Scott City, and Tyler Gossman, Salina; two daughters, Charlotte Latta and Laura Hickert, both Scott City; one brother, Gerald Gossman and wife, Norma, Garden City; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeremy Gossman; and two brothers, Larry and Garry Gossman.

Funeral service will be held Fri., August 19, 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Pastor Don Williams presiding. The service will be live streamed starting at 1:55 p.m. at www.priceandsons.com.
