Donna Dee Eibert
Donna Dee Eibert, 94, died, Dec. 16, 2022, at the Lane County Hospital, Dighton.
She was born on May 24, 1928, in Scott City to Ed Matthies and Gladys (Carpenter) Matthies.
She married Douglas Eibert on Nov. 6, 1949, in Scott County.
Donna was born and raised in Scott City. She moved to Dighton and graduated from high school in 1945. She worked as a secretary for the Lane County Attorney’s office. Then, she worked at Lane County Abstract and eventually became the owner.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and Hells Angels Bicycle Club.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, bowling, golfing and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Donna rooted for all Kansas teams including the Chiefs, KU, K-State and the Royals.
She is survived by her son, D. Douglas Eibert, Dighton; daughter, Deanne Graham, Garden City; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Robert Matthies; and a sister Bernice Young.
The funeral service was held Dec. 20 at the First Christian Church, Dighton. Burial followed at the Dighton Memorial Cemetery.
