Nella G. Funk

Nella G. Funk, 101, died, Dec. 17, 2022, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.

She was born on Feb. 5, 1921, in Manford, Okla., the daughter of Robert James and Belle (Zickaffos) Lewis.

A resident of Scott City since 1939, moving from Ness City, she was an Avon saleswoman and a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scott City.

On Oct. 26, 1939, she married Herman Funk in Ness City. He died on Feb. 29, 2000, in Scott City.

Survivors include her three sons, Larry Funk and wife, Sharolyn, Garden City, Robert Funk and wife, Anita, Scott City, and Kelly Funk, Scott City; one daughter, Sheila Boyd and husband, Roy, Scott City; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 16 great-greatgrandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Judith Kitch; one granddaughter, Toni Kitch; and one greatgrandson, Anthony Chase Berning.

The funeral service was held Dec. 22 at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City, with Rev. Jeff Goetzinger presiding. Memorials can be written to Park Lane Nursing Home or Scott City Animal Rescue, both in care of Price and Sons Funeral Homes, Box 553, Scott City, Ks. 67871.

Interment was in the Scott County Cemetery.
