Karen Anderson

Karen Anderson, 64, of Slaton, Tex., died, November 16, 2023.

Karen was born on August 2, 1959, in Scott City to Ramon Ward and Charlotte (Evers) Clinton.

She graduated from Scott Community High School, Scott City, in 1977. She moved to Texas at an early age and eventually settled in Slaton.

For many years, she worked in management for Walmart and Walgreens. Most recently, she worked as an administrative assistant at StarCare.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sports and band activities. She also loved her two dogs, Bo and Peanut, and she enjoyed going on cruises.

Karen is survived by a daughter, Jennifer West and husband, Patrick, Lubbock, Tex.; sons, James Anderson, Lubbock, Tex., and Joseph Kibitlewski and wife, Rebecca, Slaton, Tex.; sisters, Judith Wright and husband, Rodney, and Cheryl Clinton, all of Scott City; brothers, Ward Allen Clinton, of Mississippi, and David Clinton and Darryl Clinton, both of Scott City; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Shawn Clinton.

Viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 24, from noon to 5:00 p.m., at Englunds, 1400 Woodrow Rd., Slaton, Tex., followed by visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be Sat., Nov. 25, 10:30 a.m., at Bible Baptist Church, 525 W. Panhandle St., Slaton.

Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery, Slaton.
