Drew Lynn Hoeme

Drew Lynn Hoeme, 75, died on April 28, 2024, in Olathe.

He was on born Jan. 29, 1949, in Scott City, to Andrew V. and Betty E. (Triffet) Hoeme.

He married Diane Jeanne Engleman on July 11, 1969, in Colby. She survives.

Lynn lived most of his life in Scott County where he also attended school, graduating in 1967. He attended Colby Community College and was a farmer/ rancher and worked at HRC Feedyard as the foreman.

He had many interests, including classic cars, college sports, NASCAR, and attending auctions.

He loved meeting new people, talking about his grandsons, and doing anything he could to help others. He rarely let people leave his house without some kind of “treasure” he picked up somewhere.

Everyone who knew him well will miss his phone calls and funny stories.

He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Olathe.

He is also survived by a son, Kevin Hoeme and wife, Trina; daughters, Tammi Cummings and husband, Mike, and Kristi Sheppard and husband, Jeff; a brother, Larry Hoeme and wife, Kathy; sister, Carol Walker and husband, Steve; grandsons, Drew Sheppard and Ty Sheppard; and nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Thurs., May 23, 2:00 p.m., at the Scott County Cemetery. The family requests no flowers.

There will be no calling times.
