Galen Wayne Doll
Galen Wayne Doll, 71, was transferred from this life to his heavenly home on Sept. 2, 2024, at the Lane County Hospital in Dighton.
He was born on March 26, 1953, at Garden City, the third son of Walter and Marie (Becker) Doll.
Galen lived his entire life in Healy where he attended school and graduated with the class of 1971 as salutatorian. He went on to graduate from Fort Hays State University in December of 1974 with a degree in agriculture and animal husbandry.
On May 16, 1977, Galen met the love of his life at a Charolais cattle sale in Vinita, Okla. Less than four months later, on Sept. 10, 1977, Galen and Arlene (Tucker) Doll were married in Vinita, Okla.
Galen and Arlene started their own family on July 15, 1984, when their oldest son, Bryce Corey Doll, was born. Two years later, the couple was blessed when their youngest son, Cody Wayne Doll, was born on Oct. 14, 1986. Bryce was killed in a single vehicle accident on June 20, 2003.

Galen grew up on the Doll family farm and ranch located 1.75 miles south of Healy where he lived his entire life.
He was a devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. Other than spending time with his family, Galen loved farming, raising registered Charolais cattle, hunting, fishing, painting, and many other craft projects including making and donating rosaries.
He was an avid reader and encouraged the love of reading to his family.
Following the death of his father and division of the Doll Family Farm and Ranch, Galen worked at a local hog farm before going to work as a feed truck operator at Ranger Feeders east of Dighton.
