Carol Pedersen

Carol J. Pedersen, 86, died on Nov. 27, 2024, at Hospice House in Hutchinson.

She was born on June 30, 1938, in Eldridge, Mo., the daughter of Golden and Claudia June (Murphy) Greenwood.

Moving from Craig, Colo., she had been a resident of Scott City from 1963-2019 when she moved to Hutchinson to be near her family. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Pence Community Church in Pence and attended Crosspoint Church in Hutchinson.

On Sept. 24, 1955, she married Lonnie Pedersen in Craig, Colo. He died on Feb. 22, 2014, in Scott City.

Survivors include her son, Craig Pedersen and wife, Leslie, Hutchinson; daughter, Caryn Green and husband, Tim, Wood River, Nebr.; brother, Gene Greenwood, Pocahontas, Ia.; granddaughter, Aria Pedersen; grandsons, Neil Pedersen, Noah Pedersen, Nyle Pedersen, Cordell Green and Dakota Green; and one greatgranddaughter, Everly Pedersen.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Most.

Visitation will be at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, on Wed., Dec. 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Thurs., Dec. 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Fri., Dec. 13, 10:00 a.m., at the Pence Community Church with Pastor Don Williams presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
