Terry Donecker

Terry D. Donecker, 79, died Dec. 28, 2024, at the Lane County Hospital, Dighton.

He was born on Sept. 3, 1945, in Garden City, the son of Dale Albert and Edith Lorraine (Russell) Donecker.

A lifetime resident of Lane County, he was a farmer and rancher, and worked for the Lane County Road Department.

He married Bonnie Barnett in Dighton. She survives.

Other survivors include his son, Darin Donecker and wife, Danica, San Antonio, Tex.; daughters, Teresa Washburn, Greenfield, Ind., Terria Ashby and husband, Rick, Ulysses, and Tricia Donecker, Scott City; a brother, Dave Donecker and wife, Grace, Garden City; sisters, Sue Rogers and husband, Brent, Scott City, Jana Bailey and husband, Paul, Wichita, and Tammy Kniffin and husband, Mike, Wichita; sister-inlaw, Cheryl Donecker, Wichita; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Duane Donecker; and brother, Jim Donecker.

The funeral service will be held on Sat., Jan. 4, 10:30 a.m., at the Healy United Methodist Church with Marletta Wilkens presiding.

Interment will be in the Healy Cemetery.
