Betty Scheuerman
Betty J. Scheuerman, 98, died Feb. 3, 2025, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.
She was born on April 22, 1926, in Grigston, the daughter of Lester and Frieda (Elliot) See.
She was a farmer’s wife and a lifetime resident of Scott County.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City where she served as church treasurer, funeral dinners chairman, deaconesses, Sunday school teacher, Mary Martha Circle and ABW.
Her memberships included the Manning Jayhawkers 4-H Club, Manning Jayhawkers community leader, project leader, Manning Bridge Group, Tuesday Afternoon Bridge Group and Better Homes EHU.
On Dec. 15, 1946, she married Clifford H. Scheuerman in Scott County. He died on Oct. 21, 1998, in Scott City.
Survivors include her sons, Mike Scheuerman and wife, Deb, Healy, and Randy Scheuerman and wife, Cindy, Scott City; daughter, Kathy Zweifel and husband, Bob, Waldo; sister, Joan McPherson, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; sister- in-law, Tava See, Scott City; 10 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill See; and sisters, Normalee Wasinger and Patty See.
Visitation will be Fri., Feb. 21, 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City.
The funeral service will be held on Sat., Feb. 22, 2:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Scott City with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
