Veronica Elaine ‘Vicky’ Fuller

Veronica Elaine “Vicky” (Roberts) Fuller, 65, died on March 6, 2025, at the Kearny County Hospital in Lakin.

Vicky was born on Sept. 7, 1959, in Las Animas, Colo., the daughter of Joseph A. Roberts, Jr., and Virginia Carolyn (Zortman) Roberts.

As a young girl, Vicky’s family traveled by railcar through New Mexico. They saw many places and enjoyed camping in the mountains. When her father took a job with Tyson the family relocated to the Lakin area.

She married Doug Harris in 1983 in Lakin and to that union they had one daughter.

She later met Jeff Fuller and moved to Brewster for a time before settling in Scott City. When their son, Chance, graduated high school they moved back to Lakin.

Vicky worked for Armstrong Custom Cattle for more than 10 years. She loved her job and was devastated when she was forced to quit due to needing a hip replacement.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing softball and square dancing. As her family grew so did her hobbies. She quickly became her grandchildrens’ biggest fan and loved watching them compete in whatever activity or sport they were in.

Vicky enjoyed riding horses, bowling, rodeo and anything that took her outdoors. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those who knew Vicky will remember her as a loving, kind and friendly person. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome, whether they were old friends or new acquaintances.

Her infectious laugh and genuine interest in others’ well-being were hallmarks of her character.

Vicky was known to be stubborn at times, but she never let her family question how much she loved them and often would leave them with an “I love you more.”

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Fuller, Wallace; children, Teokka Harris, Holcomb, and Chance Fuller, Wallace; sisters, Priscilla Ory, Kettle Falls, Wash., Robbi Robinson, Morton, Wash., Khristie Goodwin, Hutchinson, and Shawna Miller, Kansas City; and grandchildren, Shayleigh Morford, Charmane Morford and Riggin Morford, She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Michael Roberts and Dimple Roberts.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
