Kacie McKinney

Kacie L. McKinney, 40, died May 1, 2025, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

She was born on Aug. 4, 1984, in Tribune, the daughter of Robert John Fulton and Gloria Medina.

A resident of Scott City since 1994, moving from Leoti, she was the postmaster in Leoti.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City and the United Postmaster and Managers of America.

On Oct. 17, 2009, she married Jace Raymond McKinney in Scott City. He survives.

Other survivors include her sons, Dylan Fulton, Scott City, Derick McKinney, Scott City, and Noah McKinney, Scott City; mother, Gloria Fulton, Scott City; brother, Travis Fulton and wife, Addie, Scott City; step-mother, Mary Fulton, Las Cruces, N.M.; step-sisters, Leah Tucker, Eagle, Ida., Sabrina Reyes and husband, Andrew, Coppell, Tex., and Ericah Schmucker, Alexandria, Va.; motherin- law, LaDonna McKinney, Scott City; fatherin-law, David McKinney, Scott City; brothers-inlaw, Lance McKinney, Lakewood, Colo., and Rees McKinney and wife, Therese, Colby; grandmother, Betty Fulton, Bloomington, Ill.; aunt, Karen Terry and husband, Tim, Linn Creek, Mo.; and close friend, Julie Dawson, Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial service was held on May 8 at the United Methodist Church in Scott City with Rev. Jeff Goetzinger presiding.

Inurnment was in the Scott County Cemetery.
