Trey Loftis

Trey E. Loftis, 27, died Nov. 11, 2025, in Garden City.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1998, in Great Bend, the son of Richard J. Loftis and Shawna (Stewart) McQuitty.

A resident of Scott City from 2000 to 2017, he moved to Commerce City, Colo., and worked in construction and landscaping.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scott City.

Survivors include his son, Atticus Littlehawk, Dodge City; daughters, Eden Loftis and Rylee Loftis, both of Ellsworth, Minn.; father, Scott City; mother, Larned; brother, Alec Byrum, Katy, Tex.; sisters, Caitlin Robinson and Terrin Stewart, both of Larned; grandparents, Robert and Karen Blair, Scott City; aunts, Michelle Eggleston and husband, Travis, Rose Hill, Rachelle McQuitty, of Texas, and Janean Loftis, Great Bend; an uncle, Ryan McQuitty, of Texas; three nieces and seven nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bryan and Kerry Laing and Jimmie Loftis.

The funeral service was held on Nov. 17 at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.

Interment was in the Scott County Cemetery.
