Lisa Diane (Kough) Schroeder, 59, died Jan. 11, 2026, in Colby.

The daughter of Harry “Conrad” Kough and Betty Ann (Ryan) Kough, she was born April 15, 1966, in Scott City.

Lisa was united in marriage to Kriss Schroeder on March 14, 1986, at the First Baptist Church in Scott City. Together they shared nearly 40 years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, family and hard work. He survives.

Lisa worked alongside her husband on the farm, kept the farm books, and managed her home while being a full-time mother and homemaker.

She also served her church with great dedication, sharing her musical gifts as a regular pianist and song leader at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for about 35 years.

Lisa is also survived by her children, Kristi Bird, Nikole Nelson, Luke Schroeder, Joshua Schroeder, Chelsy Blind, Brett Schroeder, Julie Berg, Laura Graham, Kurt Schroeder, Danielle Dold, Lexie Schroeder, Eric Schroeder, Nathan Schroeder and Macy Schroeder; her mother, Betty Ann Kough; her sister, Sherri Baker; brothers, Dan Kough, Steve Kough and Bryan Kough; and 36 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and son, Justin Schroeder.

Visitation will be Thurs., Jan. 15, 5:007:00 p.m., with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby.

The funeral Mass will be Fri., January 16, 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
