Rose Wright

Rose M. Wright, 71, died Jan. 14, 2026, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

She was born on Jan. 3, 1955, in Scott City, the daughter of William Oliver and Daisy Marie (Reed) Wilson.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, she was a homemaker, farmer’s wife and most of all a loving grandmother to many.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Scott City.

On March 13, 1971, she married Roy Alvin Wright in Leoti. He died on Oct. 25, 2022, in Columbus, Nebr.

Survivors include her daughters, Sara L. Morlan, Scott City, Sherry Rouse, of Oklahoma, and Heather Wright, Dodge City; sons, Damyan Wright and wife, Jalisa, Oakley, and Jeff Wright, of Pennsylvania; a brother, William Wilson and wife, Shelly, of Wyoming; sisters, Phyllis Snyder, Scott City, LaVera Tunis and husband, Kevin, of South Carolina, and Susan Topolsky and husband, John, of Texas; daughter-in-law, Kim Wright, Scott City; grandchildren, Layton Wright and wife, Shylan, Scott City, Luke Wright, Scott City, Kooper Wright, Scott City, Janee Morlan and Curtis Oldham, Kinsley, Mazee Wright and Curtis Bibles, Forney Tex.; great-grandchildren, Paige and Brooke Fisher, Barry Wright, Jentrie Morlan, Christopher Oldham, Jeremiah Meikle, and unborn baby Bibles; two sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and son, Steve A. Wright.

The funeral service was held on Jan. 20 at the First Christian Church in Scott City with Rev. Rodney Hopper presiding.

Interment will be in the Pyramid View Cemetery in Logan County.
