Anita Louise Gamble

Anita Louise Gamble, 84, died March 23, 2026, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

She was born on Jan. 28, 1942, in Hiwassc, Ark., the daughter of Carmen M. and Femctta M. (Martin) Croxdale.

She had been a resident of Scott City since 1969, moving from Centerton, Ark. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scott City. Louise was also a past member of Eastern Star and the Scott City Planning and Zoning Commission.

On May 20, 1960, she married Howard Gene Gamble at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Hiwassc, Ark. He survives.

Other survivors include her daughter, Glenita Dcardcn and husband, Alan, Scott City; son, Neal Gamble and wife, Karen, Scott City; brothers, Tommy K. Croxdale, Gentry, Ark., and Doug Croxdale and wife, Francis, Gravette, Ark.; grandaughters, Heather Olsen and husband, Dusty, Schoenchcn, and Lisa Pcsina and husband, Ray, Valley Center; grandson, Matthew Gamble and wife, Jessy, Pittsburg; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe Croxdale; and granddaughter, Amanda Dcardcn.

Visitation will be held on Thurs., March 26, 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Fri., March 27, 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City.

The funeral service will be held on Sat., March 28, 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Payne presiding.

Interment will be held at Scott County Cemetery.
