Cheryln Eileen Whinery
Cheryln Eileen Whinery, 76, died on April 4, 2026, at Grand Plains Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Assisted Living Facility in Pratt.
She was born on Oct. 7, 1949, in Scott City to Clifton P. and Joy (Kirk) Ottaway.
She had been a lifetime resident of Scott City.
Cheryln married John Elisha Levi on Dec. 26, 1965. He survives.
Cheryln graduated from Scott Community High School in 1967.
She worked as a nursing assistant at Park Lane Nursing Home. She took classes in floral arrangement and later earned a nutrition and health degree through Barton County Community College.
She worked as a cook at the Scott County VIP Center, and later as a desk clerk for the Airliner Motel.
She was a member of EHU and a china painting club.
Other survivors include her daughter, Elaine Bell and husband, Thomas Elwin, Pratt; brothers, Clifton Kirk and wife, Janet, Hays, and Harlan and wife, Jill, Citrus Heights, Calif.; grandsons, Jadon Bell, Cunningham, and Zaxon and Tavon Bell, of Pratt.
Cheryln was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Thurs., April 16, from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City.
The funeral service will be Sat., April 18, 10:30 a.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home with Steve Payne presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
