Jose L. Moncada

Jose L. Moncada, 74, died April 12, 2026, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

He was born on June 10, 1951, in Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Ramon and Anna (Hernandez) Moncada.

Jose had been a resident of Scott City since 2004, having moved from Goodland He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City.

In January 2003, Jose married Romelia Guillen. She survives.

Other survivors include his sons, Jose Moncada, Flagstaff, Ariz., and Jose Luis Moncada, Scott City; daughter, Marissa Moncada, Flagstaff, Ariz.; brothers, Idolfo Moncada, Javier Moncada and Pena Blanca, all of Chihuahua, Mexico; a sister, Luz Elena Moncada, Cuidad De Mexico, DF; along with many friends and family.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 20, 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City, with Fr. Don Bedore presiding.
