Justin Smith, 38, died May, 6, 2026, in San Antonio, Tex.

He was born to Wendy (Achenbach) Wilcox on Feb. 26, 1988, in Scott City and adopted by Doug and Kitty Smith.

He spent a few years in the U.S. Army and loved working at Pizza Hut.

He is survived by his mother, San Antonio; adoptive father, Scott City, adoptive mother, San Antonio; his siblings, Robert Achenbach and Kortney Johnson, both of San Antonio, Tex.; cousins, Kimberly Hawthorne and husband Lee, Marienthal, Alysta Bradford, Scott City, Kassandra Hall, Modoc, Kaleb Hall-Mayes, Christopher Hall and wife Sara, and Aja Hall.

A family memorial was held on May 9 in San Antonio, Tex.
