Yvonne Luene Anderson

Yvonne Luene Anderson, 81, York, Nebr., died July 31, 2026.

Yvonne was born on February 28, 1945, in Dodge City, to Wilford and Jennie Billings.

She graduated high school from Dodge City. After high school, she married Roger Sunley and welcomed three children, LaFonda, Rhonda and Byler. She later married Jack Anderson on December 18, 1971, and together they were blessed with a blended family, adding sons Harold and Greg.

She worked at the Healy Co-op elevator before dedicating many years to providing daycare to the Healy community, where she lovingly cared for countless children who held a special place in her heart. Later, she worked at Hometown Pride Grocery.

When Yvonne and Jack could no longer remain in her home, they moved together to an assisted living community in Nebraska.

She was a member of the Healy Methodist Church.

Yvonne is survived by her daughters, La-Fonda Sharp and husband Dan, Healy, and Rhonda Koehn and husband, Jeff; her sons, Byler Sunley and wife, Stephanie, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Harold Anderson and wife, Eileen, Hays; daughter-in-law, Chelle Anderson, Dighton; brothers Larry Billings, Salina, Carl Billings and wife Janet, Liberal, Bobby Billings and wife, June, Republic, Mo., and Paul Billings and wife, Mary, Olathe; sister-in-law, Kay Stauth, Cimmaron; grandsons, Tyler Sharp and wife, Hanna, Eli Koehn, Matthew Koehn and wife, Elva, Tavis Koehn and wife, Hailey, Keaton Sunley and wife, Julia, and Jackson Anderson; granddaughters, Kyla Hunter and husband, Mitch, Kiara Dandurand and husband, Tyler, Chelsey Klein and husband, Brian, Kari Kramer and husband, Jason, and Taysia Sunley; great-grandsons, Kane, Caden, Anders, Lincoln, Declan and Milo; greatgranddaughters, Kendall, Brittney, Isabelle, Emmalyn and Chloe; an expected great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Anderson; her parents; brothers, Lyle Billings and Roy Don Billings; a sister, Jo Benear; and a son, Greg Anderson.

The funeral service was held August 4 at the Healy Methodist Church with Pastor Jee Sook Gil presiding.

Interment was held in the Healy Cemetery.
