Alma L. Jewell

Alma L. Jewell, 92, died Jan. 8, 2025, at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City.

She was born on Dec. 2, 1932, in Texoma, Okla., the daughter of Kenneth and Violet (Robinson) Hager.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, she was a farmer and homemaker.

She was a member of the Community Christian Church in Scott City, BW Club, Kolorful Kansas Art Association, and was an avid lover of books.

On June 30, 1951, she married Jack Jewell in Scott City. He died on January 22, 2018, in Scott County.

Survivors include her son, David Jewell, Wichita; daughters, Diana Yost, Holcomb, and Linda Leger and husband, Danny, Scott City; 11 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister and daughter, Cindy Barnes.

Visitation will be Sat., Jan. 18, from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sun., Jan. 19, 1:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City.

The funeral service will be held Mon., Jan. 20, 2:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Haeck presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
