Cheryl K. France

Cheryl K. France, 76, died on Sept. 1, 2021, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.

She was born on May 17, 1945, in Ellsworth, Ks., the daughter of Arthur A. and Catherine E. (Janssen) Huseman.

She was a dietitian and homemaker.

On August 8, 1967, she married Lester D. Martin. He died on May 26, 2004, in Scott City.

On July 19, 1991, Cheryl married her longtime friend, Leon E. France, in Las Vegas, Nev. Together they enjoyed traveling, spending time with their children, grandchildren and friends and family.

Survivors include her sister, Joann Riemann and husband, Jerry, Dighton; a daughter, Tracy France, Roeland Park, Ks.; two sons, Clint and Amy France, Marienthal, and Heath and Tara France, Ransom; two brothers-in-law, Ron and Carrie France, Garden City, and Ted France, Scott City; two nieces, Chanelle Stephens, Dighton, and Kim Sorenson, Garden City; six grandchildren, Caleb and Kennedie, Madison, Ivan, Delaney, Calli and Jury; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Velma Huseman; husbands Lester Martin and Leon France; sons, Justin Martin and Dallas Martin; a brother, Bill Huseman; and daughter-in-law, Kandice Martin.

Visitation will be Fri., Sept. 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Scott City, with Rev. Rodney Hopper presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
