Cynthia Kay Appel
Cynthia Kay Appel, 68, died at her home on March 26, 2025, in Scott City.
She was born on March 16, 1957, in Scott City, to Orville and Betty (Specht) Ives.
She was a lifetime resident of Scott City. Cynthia worked at Gibson’s for many years before working for First National Bank for 20 years until her retirement.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, and loved all her pets dearly.
Survivors include her sons, Phillip Appel, Wichita and Aaron Appel, Wichita; brothers, Mike Ives, Wichita, and Terry Ives and wife, Brenda, Wichita; brother-in-law, Nate Appel, Wichita; sisters- in-law, Melodee Ramey and husband, James, May, Okla., Lark Speer, Scott City, Denise Akers,
Cynthia Appel
Wichita, and Pam Appel, Scott City; and great-uncle, Gene Specht and wife, Judy, Wichita, She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and brothers- in-law, Gary Speer, Tony Akers and Baxtor Appel.
The funeral service will be held at a later date.
