Dallas Lynn Wray

Dallas Lynn Wray, 63, died Dec. 15, 2021, at Hot Springs Hospital, Truth or Consequences, N.M.

He was born April 23, 1958, in Scott City, to Don and Beulah (Orrell) Wray.

He attended school in Scott City until the family moved to Truth or Consequences in June, 1974.

Over the next 12 years he lived in both Truth Or Consequences and Scott City. He moved permanently to Truth or Consequences in 1986 after the death of his father.

He was a carpenter, working for different contractors until he retired in 2020.

Dallas loved to hunt, fish, trap, camp and spend time in the mountains. He usually came back to Scott City every fall to hunt pheasants and deer.

He was a member of Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited and a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club.

Dallas was an avid fan of Nebraska Cornhusker football. He loved dogs and always had at least one dog since he was 14-years-old.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by four sisters, Tina Worthington and Coni Wray, both of Bartlesville, Okla., and Lou Nye and Cheryl Smith, both of Truth or Consequences; one brother, George; seven nieces and nephews, 14 greatnieces and nephews and one great-great-nephew and his yellow labrador, Teal.

A memorial service was held in Truth or Consequences on Jan. 3. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the El Paso Cemetery, Derby.
