Dannie Gene Bahm
Dannie Gene Bahm, 75, Topeka, died on March 12, 2022.
H e was born Sept. 1, 1946, in Ransom to Henry Bahmand Marie (Pinkston) Bahm.
He grew up in Alamota where he attended school until the age of 13 when his family moved from the farm to Scott City.
He graduated from Scott Community High School in 1964 and attended Fort Hays State University.
During his teen years, he gained knowledge of working on cars while working at Bud Vickers Filling Station and became obsessed with GTOs while working alongside his uncle, Emil Brandenburger.
Dannie married Elissa Carol Janzen on June 6, 1970. She survives.
Dannie and Elissa moved to the farm in 1973 and soon after Dannie started farming for Keith Janzen, his father-in-law. His love of farming, which started during childhood, continued until retirement in 2021.
Other survivors include his children, Doug Bahm, Topeka, Darin Bahm and wife, Vicky, Kansas City, Mo., and Carrie Doyal and husband, Scott, Topeka; grandchildren and stepgrandchildren, Jordan and Kaitlyn Doyal, Cameron, Jenna, and Amanda Bahm, and Austin Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Eldean Bahm.
The funeral service will be held Friday, March 18, 10:30 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Pastor Don Williams presiding.
Memorials may be made out to the Dannie Bahm Scholarship Fund in memory of Dannie for students from Scott City pursuing an agriculture degree in care of Price and Sons Funeral Homes, Box 553, Scott City, Ks. 67871.
