Delmar R. Turley

Delmar R. Turley, 74, died Sept. 25, 2024, at his home in Scott City.

He was born on June 26, 1950, in Dodge City, the son of Carl Elton and Virginia Alice (Reinert) Turley.

A resident of Scott City since 1958, he was a trucker, painter, contractor, cattleman and custom hay harvester.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scott City.

In 1969, he married Kathleen A. Rudolph and in 1976 he married Cheryl Ann Criswell.

Survivors include his children, Amy Nodine and partner, Dwayne Byrde, Brooks, Alberta, Canada, Holly Berland, Scott City, Jason M. Turley, Colwich, Tyson J. Turley, Dighton, and Shareena Kay and partner, Adam Schiffelbein, Park City; brothers, Jerry Turley, Garden City, and Dale Turley and wife, Shelley, Scott City; sisters, Linda Harkness and husband, Gary, Larned, Carol Heim and Kent Strickler, Scott City, Sandi Lewis and husband, John, Abbyville, and Deb Sherman, Wichita; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leroy Turley; sister, Joan Petrey; and brother-in-law, Roy Sherman.

The funeral service was held Sept. 30 at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Pastor Don Williams presiding.

The graveside service was held on Sept. 30 in the Ness City Cemetery.
