Dennis Dinkel

Dennis Dinkel Dennis Dinkel, 67, died, Nov. 2, 2022, at the Wheatridge Park Care Center, Liberal, surrounded by his children.

H e was born Dec. 12, 1954, in Hays to Leo and Odellia “ Ti l l ie” (Schamberger) Dinkel. Dennis attended school in Gove County, graduating from Quinter High School in 1971.

He was a member of the Catholic church. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was an auto mechanic.

Dennis was a lifelong sports fan, watching every sporting event he could, particularly the KC Royals, KC Chiefs, and KU basketball. He especially enjoyed taking his grandchildren to Disney World.

Survivors include four children, Rachel (Dinkel) See and husband, David, Scott City, Anthony Dinkel and wife, Julia, Liberal, Leatte (Dinkel) Helsel and husband, Brandt, Liberal, and Michael Dinkel and wife, Monica, Grand Island, Nebr.; and eight grandchildren, Jax, Andrew, Allison, Courtney, Ella, Kenadi, Hazel and little Logan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Steven Dinkel.

A graveside service was held Nov. 7 at the Scott County Cemetery with Fr. Don Bedore presiding.
